NEW: White Cloud Worlds volume 2 is released!

Exciting stuff is afoot here in Wellington. I must say that there is a buzz on the streets of Miramar, home to the NZ film industry's most highly concentrated artistic talent, as the word is that the latest volume (Volume two) of the spectacular White Cloud Worlds book is now available just in time for Christmas!
The latest edition to the White Cloud worlds visual anthology introduces many new artists to the books family, filling it's pages with even more fantastical art.
The first edition was very much centered around the traditional "film fantasy" genre that stemmed from the creative forces of the book's main contributors, who's work is the primary source of talent for world renowned Weta Workshop and Weta Digital.
Volume two however has begun to venture into the world of the Pop Surreal including some of Wellingtons leading artists in this genre. Wellington has developed a strong visual Pop Surreal culture over the 6 years that I have lived in the area. It is a visually vibrant city that oozes quirky characters, strange fantastical creatures and punchy Pop Surreal, down nearly every alleyway, sidewalk and street in the capital. The art that stems from this, has in its heart a very distinctive New Zealand flavour.
White Cloud Worlds encompasses the true essence of the New Zealand scene, embodying the expressive genius of the Science Fiction fantasies of the world of movie magic, to the wonderfully imaginative phantasmagorical world of the Pop Surreal, packaged between the pages of the great kiwi "Can do" attitude.

Within the pages of the book you'll find may artists that make up the Wellington scene, including my wife Tanya Marriott and myself.

Make sure you get a copy!
